Nerve Reflexology is a specialised branch of Reflexology which is particularly useful in managing both acute and chronic pain. Points which have been accurately located on the feet, correspond to different nerves in the body. There are reflex points covering all areas of the nervous system including nerves to muscles and ligaments, organs, the hormonal system, and certain areas of the brain. The principle is that by applying static pressure to these reflex points, the hypersensitivity of the nerve is reduced and normalised.
The types of pain that often respond well to this work are
musculoskeletal pain such as low back or neck pain
migraine and other headaches
Classical Reflexology is often used in conjunction with Nerve Reflexology when working with people with a variety conditions such as pain, digestive issues, stress and anxiety.
